The Pajama Workout: A Workout For Your Busiest Days

Ever since I have started my new job, I have been having the hardest time trying to find a good time to work out.  In the evenings when I come home from work, I am completely exhausted and the last thing I can do is exercise.  My work starts earlier in the morning and waking up even earlier to work out is a little hard for me right now.

I was struggling to figure out where in the day to incorporate my exercise when I saw a pin on Pinterest with a 6-minute workout you can do before you shower in the morning. I thought this was perfect.  I tried it out the next morning only to figure out it didn’t take 6 minutes at all, it took only a couple minutes.  I’ve added some more exercises to do in the morning to make it a better workout.  I do this workout in my pajamas while I’m waiting for the shower to warm up so I decided to call it The Pajama Workout!

  1.  50 squats
  2. 15 push-ups (push-ups are NOT my forte right now, I hope to increase this number in the future haha)
  3. 30 second plank
  4. 30 bicycle crunches
  5. 30 jump-squats
  6. 30 second plank
  7. 25 high knees
  8. 15 burpees

I also tried doing squats in the shower after doing this workout! This workout is a good temporary solution for my craziness of time at the moment, but I hope to be able to figure out a schedule that works for me.  For the time being this is the best I can do.  I totally understand what it’s like to feel like you don’t have time for anything!  Also, ever since I’ve done these workouts every morning, I’m much more awake and happy by the time I get to work which increases my job performance!  I hope this helps you guys a little!
